Sander Kaplan received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology in
1988. Sander became licensed as an Architect in the State of Wisconsin in 1992 and in Illinois in 1993.
Sander has held a professional membership in the American Institute of Architects since 1994 and
became LEED accredited in 2009.

Mr. Kaplan founded the firm after extensive experience with two large architectural firms in Chicago and
an internationally known construction management firm. Throughout his career, Sander has focused on
the technical details and quality aspects of design. He has both personally directed and been involved
in all phases of building design and construction on many types of projects. His experience includes
industrial and commercial buildings, mixed use buildings, historic restoration, residential additions,
residential single family homes and interior build-out projects.
Sander's multi-faceted design and construction experience directly benefits several of our clients, acting
as owner's representative for several large projects. Mr. Kaplan as the president is the firm's design and
technical leader responsible for developing the firm's talent, and leading the direction and quality for the
office.

advanced knowledge of innovative Building Information Modeling (BIM) software aids SKJN to refine our

coordination through three dimensional modeling.

Joel is involved with design, construction document preparation and construction administration for
various projects. Joel's vast knowledge of innovative building Information modeling systems (BIM) and
sustainable design contributes state of the art tools and ideas to SKJN's overall technical knowledge.

NCARB since 2009, an accredited LEED AP, BD+C since 2009 and Construction Document Technologist

Neil joined SKJN in 2010 after a decade working with two large architectural firms in Chicago and a
Design/Build firm in the North Chicago suburbs. Mr. Weber's role on projects has varied from Project
Architect to Construction Superintendent, with an emphasis on technical details and construction
administration. Throughout his career, Mr. Weber has worked on many projects including interior
industrial build-outs, manufacturing facilities, multi-million square feet commercial complexes, and luxury
single family residences.
Mr. Weber, as the firm's Project Manager and Project Architect, supervises in the project design,
construction documentation, and construction administration for numerous projects in the office to ensure
the client is satisfied with their new space and the process leading up to that.
